Level 3: A Grim Promise – Multi-Session

Hundreds of years ago, a powerful empire sent expeditions to the new world hoping to expand their borders. They found a cursed land filled with terrible monsters and death. The empire crumbled into warring states and then nothing. From ruin and chaos Eventide Company arose, a merchant cartel of considerable wealth and power. They’ve set their sights on the new world, sending waves of ships to find gold, resources and a land to create a nation.

Venture to the Midnight Isles, landing in the local hamlet of Promise.

The lands that lie west, across the great sea, are uncharted. The Eventide Company has spent a fortune on a expedition to map, loot and tame it. You are part of that expedition. You are the desperate, the outcast, the destitute, This new world is weird and dangerous even by the standards of a people that work ancient spells and godly miracles.
You find yourself in Promise, the only city in the region. You’ve partnered up with a group of likeminded adventurers, the friends you see sitting around you. You’ve come into possession of a treasure map either bought or stolen. The adventure begins in a lair of your choosing from the list below:
The Cellar Geist. A dingy cellar pub down by the docks.
The Chronicled Hero. A merchant bar where the coin runs thick and the stew’s okay.

An abandoned house. A table, some blankets in the corner and a keg with a mouthful of ale.
